What Is SEO?

SEO is a type of digital marketing that is focused on increasing the quality and quantity of traffic to your website. Unlike paid advertising, SEO allows you to grow your online presence and build your brand through organic search results without having to continually invest money.  Although SEO does not happen overnight, it’s important not to overlook it in your marketing campaigns because the vast majority of online traffic comes from organic search results.

Once your SEO campaign strategy has been created, we conduct keyword research to gain a better understanding of who your target audience is, what they're searching for, how they search for it, what questions they're asking, and what content they consume about it.  We use this information to develop a keyword optimization plan that will guide existing and future content optimization.  Check out our keyword research page for more information on our research process and what goes into your keyword optimization plan.

We use the keyword optimization plan to optimize your “on-page” content to better rank for high value keywords.  We use this data to optimize your existing content to use valuable keywords, address related user-search queries and frequently asked questions, and develop new content that is better suited for ranking.  Check out our On Page SEO page for more information on our content optimization process.

We also optimize your website’s technical or “off page” SEO to help improve your search visibility.  We optimize meta descriptions, titles and alt tags to reflect the newly optimized on page content.  We optimize URLs to be readable, the appropriate length, and make sure old URLs redirect to relevant pages (fix 404 errors). Finally we add structured data to your web pages to give Google a deeper understanding of your website and help rank for SERPs. Finally, once all of your existing content is optimized for SEO we begin the link building process.  Link building is the process of acquiring links to your website from other sites.
